Uttar Pradesh government undertook a huge project of serving mid day meals in all schools across the state. The status of the mid day meals had to be monitored centrally. Appointing a person to track this was quite tedious, time taking and expensive.

Uttar Pradesh government recorded a message in Hindi and scheduled it to the head mistress of each school, who further updated the status by key presses. The teachers could also record / update the status of mid day meals by calling our inbound number. Daily status was tracked through real time logs.

This allowed the government to reduce the cost and paper work. Additionally, the status updates could now be accessed from anywhere by the e-government entities.
